RULES & REGULations:
- All racers must sign a waiver before the race.
- For safety reasons, no ear buds/head phones are allowed.
- Helmets are required!
- Use courtesy when passing and let the racer ahead know when you are about to do so.

Challenge yourself to race the entire course solo or as a two person relay and help raise money for Kids on Bikes.
11 mile race
2m run - 6.5m mtn bike - 2m run
Compete solo or as a two person relay
2 - person teams can compete in following order:
Person 1 runs 2 miles - Bikes 3.2 miles then Person 2 Bikes 3.2 miles and runs 2 miles OR
Person 1 runs 2 miles - Person 2 bikes 6.5 miles - Person 1 runs 2 miles
$35.00 for solo - $30.00 per person for team
The out-and-back running course climbs 200 ft up Talon trail for 1 mile before returning to the transition area
The beginner friendly mountain bike course is two laps clockwise on the fun and flowy Sundance loop that gains 300 ft of elevation per lap
The second run is the same out-and-back course as the first run.
The Aid station at the start finish / transition area will provide water, sports drink, and snacks

18 mile race
3.2m run - 11.4m mtn bike - 3.2m run
Compete solo or as a two person team
2 - person teams can compete in the following order:
Person 1 runs 3.2 miles - Bikes 5.7 miles then Person 2 bikes 5.7 miles and runs 3.2 miles OR
Person 1 runs 3.2 miles - Person 2 Bikes 11.4 miles - Person 1 runs 3.2 miles
$40.00 for solo - $35.00 per person for team
The first run is 1.6 miles out and back on Talon trail gaining 300 ft of elevation
The mountain bike portion is 2 laps in a figure 8 pattern on fun flowy trails including Sundance loop, 1 mile climb on paved road, portions of Boulder run, Blackmer and Zook's trail and climbs 700 ft per lap (1400 ft total) see course map below.
The mountain bike course is mostly beginner friendly with the exception of the Blackmer section where intermediate skills are recommended.
The course provides plenty of passing opportunities
The Aid station at the start finish / transition area will provide water, sports drinks, and snacks
The second run is 1 lap around Sundance loop (3.2 miles) gaining 300 ft of elevation
11 mile short course and 18 mile long course

The Start/Finish area is in the main parking lot (Limekiln Trailhead Equestrian Parking) - Drive past the Visitor Center to the gate. Let the park ranger know that you are participating in the Sundance Duathlon and they will give you a free day parking pass. Continue driving and make your first left.
An Aid Station, Bike Mechanic, Snacks, Food, Water will be available at the Start/Finish transition area, but please bring your own desired race fuel.
